Liz’ Pets: Pixie
Pixie, Primrose Petite Pizzazz is a spayed, brown retired conformation champion toy poodle. Though I trained her myself, I had
Alan Waterman, a professional handler, finish her for me. Pixie finished quickly in the conformation ring under Alan. He did a
fabulous job with her. She’s a mere 4 lbs though and after a few x-rays our vet
thought she was too tiny to breed. So we quickly had her spayed. But she too,
is a delight and a real lap dog. We thoroughly enjoyed showing her, however.
Now she enjoys her pack, sleeping in my bed, and all that comes with being a
well-loved pet. She knows when
someone else is holding her leash,
and whines and cries until I pick it
up again. She is indeed my dog,
and I have to admit this brings me
great pleasure. She follows me
everywhere. She can sit in my lap
while I sip my tea, and never even
attempts to steal a crumb off the
table (this did not come naturally of
course). She enjoys the cats. She
fiercely keeps up with Baron and
Lulu in any game of tug of war.
She is just as obedient with all of
her commands, and she can also
play dead on command, very cute
in all her four brown furry pounds.
