Liz’ Pets: Momento
Momento is a male, laced winged, cobalt blue American parakeet. Momento
can talk just as much as Henri, only he does so in a smaller voice. I got
to pick the bird right out of the nest box. He just started to eat seed. He was
so small. Now a slightly bigger bird, at least in his own mind, he loves teasing
Henri.
When allowed to take flight around the house, he often makes visits to
Henri’s perch
and shares
dinner with him.
He loves riding
on anyone’s
shoulder and
talking in their
ear. He likes
sharing food from
anyone’s plate
and throwing objects off the table. He loves watching me work, clean,
read (especially the newspaper--it’s impossible to read a newspaper or
magazine with Momento around… He attacks the print!) Though he’s
getting quite elderly for a parakeet now, he is just as spunky as ever and
continues to give parakeet kisses when you tell him you love him.
