Liz’ Pets: Lulu
Lulu is a spayed, silver standard poodle. She is a true lady in every way. She has
proven to be quite agile. Her full registered name is Amandi’s Leapin’ Lulu. She’s like
a ballet dancer. She loves the
snow and she adores Baron.
Having been brutally mauled as
a puppy by a neighbor’s dog,
she became very fearful of
bigger dogs. It took Baron, big
lumbering Baron, to get her to
come out of her shell. She is a
very thoughtful pooch, you can
see her thinking things
through.
She has a very maternal side.
She gathers the cats together
and tries to nurse and mother
them. She licks Verita until her
head is soggy but Verita purrs happily through the entire process. She’s not nearly as
high-energy as Baron, but this also makes her a little slower to respond. When I tell
her to sit, she does so, but as if slowly curtsying in front of the queen of England,
politely and with grace, never rushed but obediently nonetheless. Her favorite game
is being chased by Baron and playing fetch!
