More About Liz
Liz’ Pets: Boo
Boo is a rescued and spayed, purebred Chihuahua.  Her mother came to us as a rescue
dog as did her father.  Mama was carrying three babies. Sadly she lost two inter-utero.  We
raced to the vet only to be told there was a third puppy stuck in the birthing canal.  A c-
section was performed and out came Boo, a name my youngest daughter Jane bestowed
upon her because she always looked scared, with
those little popped eyes of hers.  Mama Chi didn’t
want to have anything to do with her puppy so I had
to raise her by hand.

I hand fed her every two hours and wiped her
bottom to stimulate her to urinate and defecate, Oh
joy! Jane begged us to keep her and being the
mush that I am I agreed. I admit I had grown fond of
those little popped-eyed glances. We found a lovely
adoptive home for Mama and Papa, after they were
spayed/neutered and kept Boo, who still belongs to my
daughter Jane.

Boo does not understand, as few Chi’s do, that she is the
size of finger food for most dogs.  She tells Baron and Lulu
when to stand and where to pee and oddly enough they
listen to her.  No one wants to mess with Boo, but Boo is a
loving little girl.  She will greet all our guests with those big
Boo eyes.  She’ll sit on any lap.  She too, likes her walks,
car rides and sleeping in Jane’s bed.  She LOVES a good
romp with the cats.  And when all is said
and done at the end of the day, she uses
Baron’s body heat to help make her bed
just a tad more comfy on the couch!  She
is very adept at arranging all my best
throws to her liking to make a special Boo-
bed to her own specifications.
